Over air antenna issues

Bigger screen static but PIP clear on old jvc analog. Any ideas?

Does the JVC have an ATSC over the air digital tuner built in?
if so turn off the PIP. Then select the tuner of the JVC. Set it to over the air and run a channel scan. Digital tuners will only display channels that were found during the scan.
If it doesn't have a digital tuner you would need a converter box that would turn in the ova channels and down convert them to SD. This would connect to one of the video inputs.

Have a converter box hooked up & can see the channels barely thru the static. Have been thru entire tv menu & tried everything but can't find solution. Even tried to swap PIP screen but that doesn't work
