P bell easy note SJ51 NO DISPLAY OR SOUND

Hello,
I HAVE A PACKARD BELL EASY NOTE SJ51 LAPTOP COMPUTER, AND ON BOOTING, IT ONLY START CD DRIVE FAN, AND I THINK I HAEAR HARD DRIVE, BUT THE WINDOWS SOUN AT START UP ISNT THERE AND I HAVE NO DISPLAY.
I HAVR TRIED TO GET THE BIOSS BUT FAILED, I CANT SMELL ANY BURNING, THE LEDS LIGHT UP FOR CD AND MAINS POWER BATTERY. NOTHING MORE

Sounds like the inverter has gone out. The inverter essentially transfers the image from the GPU to the screen. They are pretty cheap and easy to install. If your laptop is under warranty, send it in and they'll fix it for free. If not, report back and we can direct you to a few sites where you can pick up a new inverter.

i also have the same prblem with my P Bell. the same model as mentioned above. warranty has expired and i really need the files that are in the machine. would need help as soon as possible. thanks.
