so, I just went to amazon and bought a cd for $0.01 + $2.98 shipping. Is the RIAA going to split that $0.01 w\ the seller I'm buying the cd from?

I downloaded the cd a year or so ago and just found it on my old music player, and so... hey, why not buy the cd and own it. Except that it's not going to matter that I own the actual CD because the studio and performing artist will see none of my money any how.

[citation][nom]ram1009[/nom]They're counting on an intimidation factor here, I'm sure.[/citation]

That got me thinking of another fine that was a wee bit out of tough.

Frank: Gentlemen, I propose we send a message to tobacco companies everywhere by finding the El Dorado cigarette company infinity billion dollars!

Congressman: That's the spirit Frank! But I think a real number might be more effective.
