I lowered the ram from 500 mhz to 266 the cpu voltage was 1.80V
and still cant go to 4000 mhz 🙁( i want to reach 4000 mhz !!! how can i do it ? WA HELP

You wont ever get to 4ghz with a northwood and keep the voltage that high (and I'm sure you are not really at 1.8v) and you won't be able to post here anymore with that P4.

i may be wrong here, but i think hes got a prescot. his first post lists a p4 630

you cant unlock a locked multiplier because intel laser cuts the chip. you cant unlaser it.

presscot + 1.8v,

anyone else smell something burning?

and like i said in the other post bro, your only chance of getting a higher OC is to lower your ram ratio from 3:4

You may need to mess with your ram speed. Lower the divider so you can have more overhead on the OC. He has a 3.0c...that is a prescott for sure, I used to have one. I was able to hit 4ghz, but I was on air and it got hot so i didnt keep it at that. I was also using an ABIT motherboard not an ASUS.

Prescott is 3.0E, Northwood is 3.0C. :?

I concur. The 3.0c is a Northwood. I have a 2.8c and it is a Northwood. The Northoods don't usually make it much past 3.7GHz. Mine will do 3.5 on stock voltage but it isn't easy to get it to run above 3.7GHz even if I raise the voltage by .1v

yea, I just looked it up and was wrong. Thx for the correction guys. I had a 3.0e, which I was able to get to 4ghz, sry for the confusion.
