Packard bell m5255 broken inverter

hi i have problem with my laptop the inverter (PWA/DA-1A10-A P/N:316678100001-ROC) is broken (black screen) buying new in my country is unprofitable ... can i use inverter from another laptop with 7-pin connector ? i found the inverter with the same connector from compaq nc4400 (YNV-C04F) is in similar size too . but the screnn size in my laptop is 15" in compaq 12"
