I have a CF-M32 notebook that is in need of a new battery -- does
anyone know of a source for an actual replacement battery? All I've
found is a refill service. But if I do have to replace the existing
cells, has anyone opened one of these battery packs? I've opened the
Libretto packs before, but this Panasonic looks like it may be glued or
ultrasonically welded as opposed to just the little plastic
"hooks/tabs." Thanks for any info.

The Panasonic parts store should be
your first stop -- just follow the
links from Panasonic's support web
site.

I had a Panasonic laptop a while back. The battery got weak. I cut it open
and it was filled with readily available panasonic NiMH cells. As such, I
wouldn't be afraid of a refill repair if they do a competent job and use
decent quality cells.

IIRC, the Panasonic replacement battery for my machine listed for over $200
at the only place I could find one.

Thanks for the replies. Panasonic lists no batteries for this model,
nor do aftermarket battery sellers. Only "refill shops."

How did you cut it open? Something like a box cutter or such? I'm
hoping to "finesse" it open. Opening is the trick -- I've worked with
these before. :)
