Panasonic hdtv 1080i lost my big screen

So far I always had a full screen on my Panasonic hdtv 1080i. Last night we lost electricity for about 15 min and afterwords my tv has now 2 black side bars, not a full screen. I don't have a manual but I can find a 'full screen' on my picture size menu. How do I get rid of the black sides and get my full screen back?

Depends on what your input is, the bars come up when the TV is fed a non-1080 display, there should be options to change how it displays that in the TV, look for screen options like expand, extend, full, etc...

Hi, thank you for the reply and this might help for other people in my situation. Even tho I don't like (without a menu) to press buttons. My tv remote has a button called 'aspect' and when I pressed that I got the whole screen the screen options on this tv only gave me widen or narrow which didn't help. Thank you for replying hang-the-9
