Trash it - - and avoid plasma screen when choosing a replacement.

If you have available to you a TV repairer that could have a look and possibly find whats wrong, might be just the power board or bad cap worth 80c then it would be worth holding on to.

OLED's are on the rise and until they're cheaper best hang on to Plasma as long as you can. No Led TVs come close to Plasma's picture quality if that's what you prefer.
