TV turns self off. Un plug and put plug back in and red light comes on and then goes off again straight away. ?

TV won't stay turned on. Leave it for a while and try again and red light comes on and then goes straight off. Help please

TV is broken. In flat panel TVs often the power supply capacitors are undervalued (85 degree temp instead of 105). You might be able to get it fixed or replace the board. If the TV is older and prices have gone down then it is an opportunity to get a new TV.

What brand and model of TV? What does the owners manual say the red light means?
