I have an old Panasonic SDR-H81 camcorder with some precious photos that I am attempting to recover and I need your help to extract them from the device.
After failing to find a battery charger, i resorted to plugging any cable that would fit into the AC supply on the camera itself.
I found a laptop AC adapter kit and plugged that in, however, i believe i must have fried the PCB board or something as the status light turned red (on) for a second then died completely and has been dead eversince. I assume the laptop cable was too high a voltage for the camera to handle.
Annoyingly, i found a battery charger after and tried my luck but to no avail - camera still dead. Ive also bought an AC cable from ebay that was apparently suitable but i believe that damage has already been done.
Would love your advice on what to do next? I dont mind opening it up and replacing whatever is broken but Im not exactly sure what that is.
