2500 recharge cycles does not even get you through the year with a device equipped with these capacitors!
In some cases, capacitors get charged/recharged 50 to 60 times per second; do the math, this capacitor will only work well for a good 50 seconds, or just under a minute, if used in a powersection of an AC device.

It all sounds nice, paper and all, but I think they're better off writing the nanotubes on other materials that last longer.
2500 recharge cycles is a laugh at normal condensers which have a lifecycle of over 8 billion (8.000.000.000)recharges (or just over 4 years of constant use.

If they're cheap enough, then it might be more cost effective to just replace them.

Well, these things are so 'under the hood' that by the time we've gotten it, we're used to a similar concept already (since this sort of stuff evolves) and the media has already wowed us with the next next generation 'things'.

Supercaps are more attractive as a battery replacement technology, because they can be charged extremely quickly and last many charge cycles without degrading performance. These aren't really made for typical cap duty. The idea is to make supercaps cheap and with high-enough capacity to act as the power source in the device.
