Hahaha, only to haters? You don't have to be a hater to see its over rated. You just have to be literate to see that there are a million other options that are better and cheaper than that iCrap. But then again, i can see why your such a fanboy.

No, there was a lot more upside to Steve Jobs. Jobs is now dead, this company no longer has the one man that was capable of selling an inferior product to people year after year.

The man with the vision, marketing prowess, and intelligence to create products that are just good enough is dead. Apple failed without him and excelled with him. The company owed its success to him and it relied on him. He is dead now.

Read the writing on the wall; the only place for Apple stocks to go now is down.

They didn't even come up with slide to unlock, check the article out on droid-life.com about apple getting this patent. It got denied in Dutch court because there was a phone that predated the iphone with slide to unlock. Somehow that's fine with the US patent office though, apparently you don't even have to be the first to do it to get a patent. Ridiculous.

how is this possible? movie studios need to patent everything in sci-fi movies now. everything in back to the future... minority report... etc.

[citation][nom]jacekring[/nom]I don't think you know how to read, as Apple filed this patent OVER a year after the first iPhone was release...read the article dumb ass.[/citation]

In this case I don't blame you for failing to read. I blame the Author as Apple filed this patent over a year BEFORE the first iPhone was release. Please read to original article instead of this poorly edited copy.

All this is great except for the fact that APPLE ACTUALLY DID INVENT "SLIDE TO UNLOCK". Before Apple phones had those crappy number pad combinations that were really irritating and BBerry has an equally crappy button to do it.

Coca-cola has never been patented for a century and it is doing just fine....Why cant companies invent something really good and keep the KNOWHOW bring the money.

What are they going to patent next, facial expressions.

"Though Apple has not yet mentioned anything about pursuing other companies that are now in violation of this patent, we doubt the company will waste any time in taking competitors to court over this one."

Boy Jane (author) you sure don't know jack shit about apple do you.

[citation][nom]dormantreign[/nom]Patients & Copyrights all need to be abolished. Its the way to a class 1 civilization.[/citation]

I don't agree that you should abolish somebody's work just because he wants to make profit from it. That doesn't mean that I stand by Apple because this seems like a way to gain money from other companies and not to "protect innovation". If they'd patent "Slide To Unlock" only that wouldn't be bad, as other companies will use circle to unlock. But that's just limiting innovation

Do you honestly believe they're patenting slide to unlock for their own amusement and they're just going to leave it out of their patent lawsuits?

@JTSoko

yes because Apple invented multi touch...... the fact that Apple purchased a upstart called fingerworks in 2005 had nothing to do with it, and you know Microsoft didn't really start working on surface until like 2000 and the fact that Microsoft was heavily consulted on about multi-touch technology for the movie minority report is probably irrelevant too, that and the fact that the first surface product was revealed May 2007 incidentally June of the same year the iPhone was also revealed, but yeah i guessed Apple did invent multi-touch interface.....

[citation][nom]Pyree[/nom]Does this also mean car company can now patent steering wheel?[/citation]
