I have an HP Pavillion G6 laptop. I recently put my PS4 harddrive in it because the original was toast. Anyway, now that I have reinstalled Windows 7, there is no wifi. There is no manage wifi networks in the Network and Sharing Center. Also, the button is stuck on orange.

Anything to do with wireless connectivity seems to be completely missing from it on Windows 7.

I tried installing a wireless driver and restarting but it didn't do anything. Please help! I've been trying to fix it for about 4 hours now.

Did you uninstall the drivers first? If not try uninstalling them, then reboot and if windows doesn't auto install them you can do it yourself then.

I went to device manager and uninstalled the network adapters and tried rebooting but that didn't work. Other than that I don't know how to do what your telling me to do if it's different.

OK Try this...

1. Go to "Control Panel" and then open "Network and Sharing Center"
2. Click on "Set up a new connection or network" and follow the prompts.
3. If this does not allow it to work for you, then from the "Network and Sharing Center" screen click on "Troubleshoot Problems" and follow the prompts to find a solution.

NOTE: If it says you are already connected to a network, or shows one on the main "Network and Sharing Center" screen under "View your active networks", then click "Connect to a Network" and in the popup window choose your network.
