PC Setup - DVI to Monitor/HDMI to TV

Hi everyone.

I recently built my first PC and would like to do a dual display with my LG C6 as my main gaming display and my Acer 27 monitor as the secondary where I can do my work and watch videos and such.

I am running into a problem where I can only have one display on at a time. For example: If I have the monitor on, it'll only display on that and if I have the TV on and the monitor off it'll do the same.

My graphics card is an AORUS 1080 Ti 11GB.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

In the display settings, enable extend mode, or press the windows + p key and cycle through the settings till you get to extended.

So I was able to get the card to recognise that both are available to use. I set my Monitor as 1 and my TV as 2. So when I hit windows + p key, extended only displays on my monitor, while my TV says there is no signal. But if I choose display PC screen only, the TV will display but the monitor will be off.

I apologise if I'm going around in circles but this is the first time I've had this problem.

I had this happen once, had to fully uninstall and reinstall my video drivers. Drove me nuts that I had both screen working for a while, then one day, poof.
