my lap top shuts down it self a messegr pops up in a blue box but gos of before i can read it can any one help pleaswe :

My laptop shuts itself down and a message pops up in a blue box, but the message disappears before I am able to read it. Can anyone please help.

Hit F8 during startup and select safe mode.
After you get into safe mode goto control panel > system > advanced system properties > system protection (tab) > click on system restore and see if you can roll back to a state that your computer will work under.
