I had an idea pop into my brain. I wanted to connect a PCIe WiFi card to an external PCIe slot that I could then route to a USB port on my laptop as a sort of portable WiFi system that I can connect to my DIY Wok-Fi dish. I'm aware I could just use an off the shelf USB WiFi dongle but that just doesn't have the range or power I'm wanting. Is this at all viable? Cost isn't any concern here, I just want to know if this is a feasible idea and where I could find the necessary hardware. Help guys!

That's actually pretty close memadmax.

Someone Somewhere, yes this is true, however I am only wanting the card to connect via cable to my own DIY antenna/dish for additional range, I do not intend on using the stock antennas on the card.

Yea, the card I posted will do the job. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't come with an enclosure and I don't see any that come with one.

Well don't I feel dumb. I didn't even know these existed. Thanks guy. 😀
