PCMCIA USB al;ternatives

Hello, I have a Lenovo 110-151sk and both of my USB ports have snapped. They appear to be soldered to the motherboard, so I was wondering if the wide slot in the front is compatible with a PCMCIA USB adapter and if so which ones. Also, since I am actually using this laptop in my lap, are there any issues such as an outside power supply that I need to be concerned with?

That looks like a media card slot, not PCMCIA. If you want to use something like a mouse and keyboard, you can use a bluetooth one. For storage, would need to use cloud or network storage, or a media card (SD, micro SD, whatever is compatible with your laptop model).

well according to Lenovo that laptop has an SDCARD reader so he could use it , the large mouth item you mention is a memory card reader not a pcmcia card slot.
