pdf fails to connect to the links in main Pdf

I have some low resolution files as links in one main pdf( all pdfs stored in a folder). But when I click on the link nothing happens.However if I try to open the low res pdfs from folder they all work fine. What could be the possible solution to open these low res files from the pdf

Absolute vs relative paths more than likely.

Actually when I move my cursor on the low resolution file link in the main pdf file, the file location is shown ex: file//C|/User/File name, and after clicking these files are opened. But it is not happening for some of the low res file links I have in my folder. when I move my cursor over these files only file name is displayed. And upon clicking I receive an error "file cannot be found, make sure file path is correct".

Can you help with this
