Hey guys,
I need your personal opinion between two laptop,
1. HP Elitebook 8460p
- Intel Core i5-2410M - Intel HD 3000
- SDRAM DDR3 PC3-10600 8gb RAM
- 500 GB 7200 rpm

2. HP PAVILION 14-AL110LA
- Intel® Core® i5-7200U
- SDRAM DDR4 8 GB RAM
- 500 GB 5400 RPM

The use is usually for programming or virtualization, the second I could get it for 600USD as well as the first one in its time and I can sell it to 300-400USD.
What comparative could highlight of both if the use is the same?

sorry about my shitty english thanx.

The Core i5-7200u (7th generation) is more powerful than the i5-2410m.(2nd generation). While the max clockspeed difference is only 2MHz, the improvement Intel has made over the generations is probably about 20% on average. Therefore, the Core i5-7200u is probably about 20% more powerful than the i5-2410m.

The i5-7200u is also more power efficient at 15w compared to the i5-2410m at 35w. So assuming the same battery size, the laptop with the i5-7200u will have longer battery life.

The i5-7200u has the Intel HD 620 graphics core. The i5-2410m has the Intel HD 3000 graphics core. Intel has made some pretty good performance increases since the Intel HD 3000. The Intel HD 620 is basically equal to a nVidia 920m which is actually pretty decent for integrated graphics. Rough guess, the Intel HD 620 is probably about 2x more powerful than the Intel HD 3000.
