phone can't detect a new sim card

I bought a new galaxy note 4 in USA am now in Malawi but the phone is failing to detect my new sim card please help

The SIM may not be compatible with the phone. You would have to check with the new carrier (where the SIM is from) to see if that phone will actually work with their service.
