phone galaxy s3 hanging everytime i try to play sound

hi....my phone galaxy s3 showed problems in switching on...on repair now i see that the sound isnt working and everytime i try to play music or make a call or even turn my phone off silent it hangs. please i ask for some help as i really love my phone and want it back to normal as soon as possible. lifes hard without it.
