Phone Usb to fire stick

Can I teather phone usb to fire stick directly to use usb teathering for the internet connection please help me solve this problem thank you

I am not sure you can do that but I am thinking that if you want to use your phone to access the internet you might just as well use your phone to stream into the firestick.
