Solved! Phone won't turn on after charging for 13 hours.

I have an Optus Smart X Phone, and brought a new charger for it the other day. My phone was completely dead, pressing the power button, the red no battery sign appeared. I plugged my phone in with the new charger, it turned on, appeared to be charging so I left it for about 13 hours. Came back, took it off without turning it on and next day I find out not it will not turn on. Holding power does nothing, no boot up, no battery symbol, just cold black screen. Doesn't even start. I'm not sure what I did wrong. With my phone, I think the battery is ATTACHED so I'm screwed in that department (taking it out and putting it in)
