Photoshop CS6 painfully slow

I upgraded from CS5 to 6 yesterday and im finding it really slow!
iv got AMD FX4100 3.6ghz
8gb RAM
1tb 7200 harddrive
this shouldnt be running slow!
is the drivers or updates?
please help?

What GPU do you have? Also the fx4100 is not the good one too. Read the review. http/www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-performance-comparison,3370-13.html

i fixed it!
i turned the GPU settings to basic and some setting in the layers tab
