Question Playstation 1 wont work

So i have a playstation one with only an hdmi cable for output source. I plugged it into an older Samsung device that it has been plugged into before and all itcsays is no video signal. I made sure it's in the right place. Memory card is brand new.

Did you cycle through the input ports on the display?

Yes. I'm going to get a new hdmi cable.
