Awesome, been waiting for that last pricedrop. Now I can finally play all those games I got :3

$100.00 is not bad. A lot of the comments about other older system being cheap fail to realize that this is for a NEW unit, not a refurb or used unit. If you want to used one, they can do for a lot less.

It wasn't $100 already? I think even that's too expensive. Should be $50. I would've bought one if it were cheaper since my PS2 died and PS3 gets screwed out of backwards compatibility.

[citation][nom]mlopinto2k1[/nom]Maybe I'll buy one now, NOT. I don't even have enough money to buy my TRACKBALL that I want. Spoiled they are, kids.. yes... mmmmmm.[/citation]

bitter, much?

1989, sitting behind the NES and SMB for the first time was one of the most glorious moments of my entire life. Tears well up when I recall those first few days of playing SMB....my god it was beautiful.

Good 'ol Sony.....How long hasve they been saying the PS2 is being phased out, but you wouldn't know still charging $100 or more for a new boxed unit. Blow it out the door for $50 and be done with it.

Meh. I think the real reason Sony keeps the PS2 around is because the PS3 isn't living up to expectations. The PS1 was suppose to stick around longer, but once the PS2 started bringing in the money that was pretty much it for the PSOne. I'm sure they would have stopped selling the PS2 by now to focus all their efforts on the PS3 if the PS3 was doing well enough for it to be worth it.

The last one I bought cost me $79 after rebate. I think the large ones I bought were $129.99 each. I own 3 ps2's but I only use one and it's pretty old. They last pretty well. My other two are still factory sealed.

[citation][nom]commandersozo[/nom]It's about time, you can get Gamecubes and XBoxs for $30-40.[/citation]
Yes but those also arent being made, are used, and no more games are being produced for them.
