Im just using this for Vr nothing else. not sure if gtx 1080i is better for vr then rtx 2080ti. Buying a pre build off amazone is my preferred option but im open to all suggestions.

i might go this way if no one has any major objections https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yQcrBb

Well, if I had $2500 to burn on a VR Ready System, I'd probably look at something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($409.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($49.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard ($198.89 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($94.99 @ Newegg Business)
Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($129.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB Dual Advanced Video Card ($1279.99 @...
Looks fine to me, you don't mention what kind of VR but both the HTC vive and Oculus Rift work fine on anything from a 1060 6GB or above.
I'm sure a 2080Ti is better than a 1080 Ti and easily good enough for VR, probably overkill.

I have a 1070 and an Oculus rift, everything runs fine.

Your rig looks good though, no issues obvious to me.

I'd want it small and unobtrusive so as to fit in with the rest of my living room components and my big-screen HDTV.
