Please help me ( quick question regarding monitors )

I have a razer blade 2015 edition and can reach up to 200 FPS for CS:GO, but unforetunately, laptop's refresh rate is capped at 60HZ, just wondering if just buying a monitor that has 144HZ and plugging it in with a HDMI will give me 144 FPS or is there more to it than that? Thanks in advance
