Hi im having a problem with my hp laptop battery. It says that it is fully charged but it has a X in the battery icon.. the problem started when the updates was canceled due to the low connection of the wifi after that the battery seems off. I need help the laptop is only 1 year.. please help

what if the laptop wont start up with out the adapter???

How much power does your battery have? Are you able to find out the percent?

https://www.howtogeek.com/217010/how-to-generate-a-battery-health-report-on-windows-8-or-windows-10/
FULL charge capacity is what it can sustain after damage from use. Either you have very bad quality power adapter (and battery took it and shielded your mobo from damage) or windows just being windows and driver shows shitty info.
check the report and compare FULL (design) power vs CURRENT (charge) power:

if battery does get heated often under load ( like gaming on battery power) it will deteriorate fast.

when you click in the icon it says 100 percent

i did a diagnose to the battery it shown that the battery is unknown

report does not show anything at all ? sometimes info is vague as not all manufactures share it, but at least some fields should be filled. Please check if ADMIN rights does not help with the diagnosis.
well it points to driver OR battery controller....
would you mind creating bootable pendrive and booting OS from it ? it will make sure WINDOWS did not block it with driver problem.

I did the report but the design capacity and full charge capacity is blank
