Plugged in, Not Charging

I recently bought a new laptop, an Asus g60jx, and when I put the mouse over the battery icon, it says "96% available (plugged in, not charging)." I thought maybe it was a problem with Windows 7 or maybe I have a bad battery. Any other suggestions?

Does it run on battery ? Then the battery is charged and therefore is not charging further, yet.

Are you saying that even if it says 96%, it won't charge up to 100 even if it is plugged in?

I wouldn't worry.

It's not a good idea to charge Li-On batteries to 100% (nor to run them to flat either).

Alright, I'll run it down to 50 or so and see if it still comes up.
