Plz help! acer 5810t

hi, just wondering if anyone can help me. my laptop is running on vista and when i turn the laptop on it go's past the bios screen, Then when it gets to the windows load up screen it just keeps loading and so i can login, it's the black screen with the little loading bar, and i cannot get past the same screen in repair mode.
