Hi

Where I work, some of us are getting new computers. I do sql server, programming, web design/development, etc. Video editing is the need for a dedicated graphics card. I have been researching different laptops: portable 14" or smaller, discrete graphics, i5 or higher processor, good enough amount of ram and hard drive size (preferably ssd), descent enough battery life for gaming grade laptop, and plain design for meetings (no glowing alienware or razerblade). The budget can be slightly higher than a 256GB i5 Surface Pro 3, which we have purchased before for other departments. So far I have looked at the Gigabyte P34W which looks pretty good, other suggestions?

Thanks!

Fast, reliable, plain. Had someone look at my T430s, they asked if I had a newer one. Had to explain to him that the T models have looked the same on the outside since the earth cooled.
