Possible to connect xbox one to tv through dvd player?

Hi, so recently I moved by xbox to my girlfriends house, but her tv doesn't have an hdmi port. Her dvd player does, so I was just wondering if there was a way to connect the xbox to the dvd player and have it act as a makeshift hdmi to rca adapter, because we don't want to buy anything extra if we don't have to. Her DVD player has an HDMI output not an input so no you can't connect the xbox to it.
