AOL has been pretty bad lately, so I have been having to go to google half
the time. I wrote the AOL "newsmaster" to complain, you probably have one at
your ISP too.

Me three. Thanks to people who quote too much so I can see some of the
original missing messages. My local server is excellent so since there
have been several end points missing messages, there must be
constipation upstream someplace too far away to point a finger at.

Usenet news is a "best-effort" protocol. No mechanism for monitored
handoff, etc like for email.

I have seen my own posts disappear on my own server (Supernews),
but be visible elsewhere (at the office where we run our own news
server, on Google Groups, etc.)
