Question Power issue Dell Latitude e7440

Hi! I have a problem with my Dell Latitude e7440 When I use the battery, the laptop works fin. When I remove the battery and use the adapter only, the laptop still work fine. But when the battery is in use and I plug the Adapter, the adapter doesn't work. What might be the problem?

Sounds like the adapter may be going bad.

You say it won't work if the battery is in and you try to run it, does it charge the battery when the laptop is powered off? If yes, then your charger is going bad and you need to replace it.

It doesn't charge even the PC is off

So it isn't charging at all ever? How are you then getting the battery charged? I am wondering as you mentioned using it with the battery only.
