Hi all,

So I was on my laptop earlier and it just shut off. Tried to restart it and it wouldn't. When the power cord is plugged into the wall and not into the laptop the power light is illuminated on the cord. When I plug it into the laptop and the wall, the lights on the laptop to indicate that the battery is charging do not illuminate, and the power indicator LED on the power cord just flashes, never stays solid. So, my question is what can I do to fix it if anything? Is it just the adapter plug in built into the laptop and maybe replace it or did the whole computer just blow?

I have a P150HM from clevo. Will give anymore info necessary :) Help please!

Before deciding to replace the laptop or taking it in for any type of repair I would try a new power cord. I have two laptops that had similar issues and it was as simple as replacing the power cord (transformer and power cord). Try that first as it would be the least expensive thing to try.

The least expensive one I have found so far is on Amazon - Power supply 180 Watt Delta Electronics for Clevo P150HM

Hi, I tried a new power cord for it and still didn't work. Does this mean it is the actual laptop? Is there any way to test if it is just the power adapter part of the laptop vs. the laptop is dead?
