Part of me is kind of sad that this isn't doing better, as i really like their the pre and webOS, however i wouldn't trade my android device for the world.

Sweet Jesus!!! I been eying that Palm Pre Plus for a while now. Sadly I am on AT&T, and in the dead middle of a 2 year contract (with a sluggish iPhone 3G). But, that Verizon offer is very very tempting. Too bad I only get service in my house with AT&T (with even data service) and would have absolute no service with Verizon (I am in Northeast PA).

Well, let me talk myself out of this logically. I would need to pay $100 to terminate my AT&T contract, I would be jumping into a 2 year contract with Verizon, where I would not have any service in my house (voice or data), I have no need for a 3G Hotspot if I already have data on the phone.

Well, I will sit back on this, and wait until AT&T gets the Palm Pre Plus. I've used my sister's Palm Pre Plus when I went to visit, and I loved the OS so much more that my iPhone 3G (with the 3.x OS on it). The phone was very quick, I was able to multitask, the OS was far more user friendly.

Just sucks I would need to stop using iTunes to sync my music, podcasts, and videos from my Macbook. But, on the brighter side, once I am done with the tedious task of moving all of my music, podcasts, and videos - I will no longer be limited or restricted to the demands of Apple and Steve Jobs. While I am at it, it would probably be a great time to pick up a Windows 7 laptop (the ASUS laptop that Tom's Hardware had the contest for a month back) with the Core i7, 320GB hard drive, 1GB 5730 video card, and USB 3.0. I been very frustrated by the sluggishness of my Macbook with its 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB ram, and horrible GMA 950 - which is completely incapable of playing back 1080p video, and has choppy 720p playback.

Once this phone is on all of the major carriers, I expect that sales will pick up steadily. It's great that Verizon is helping out by giving this phone far more exposure though its commercials. I honestly would have went to Sprint last year, but at the time, Sprint did not have a firm date set for the release, and my current phone at the time was hanging on to life by the skin of its teeth. I was pretty much forced to get a new phone, and went with an iPhone though AT&T. What I find interesting is that I like the service I have with AT&T, but dislike the iPhone.
Palm can not get these phone to AT&T fast enough. I am so disappointed by this iPhone 3G, that if I ever see Steve Jobs in person, I'd be extremely tempted to throw it at him as hard as I can.

i like my pre plus i just wish they would hurry up and release adobe flash for it....the mobile hotspot app works great too

LOL!!!! Seems like some people did not me saying how I dislike my overpriced Mac crap. Four years using Mac computers, I am ready to switch over to Windows 7, with some powerful and affordable hardware.

They are cutting the prices because they aren't selling. I played around with the Pre Plus a bit in the store Verizon store last week, and just didn't like it. The phone feels very cheap, it's an awkward shape too. Can't say much about WebOS because that Pre I was messing with was stuck in an email app and I couldn't figure out how to get it out lol.

Best Buy had a deal where the Droid Eris was FREE with a 2 year contract. Now there's a deal!

[citation][nom]rodney_ws[/nom]The main drawback I see to this is Verizon's 5 GB / month data caps... that's pretty harsh.[/citation]
5GB/month?
Really?

The 5GB/month from my carrier (Virgin Mobile, Canada) is $85/month, and that's without basic service still.

I'm going for a Sony Ericsson Satio, just a damned sexy phone.
One problem - I have to buy it off contract ($600).

Come, will anyone give some damned love to those who refuse contracts?

i had a feeling palm would have to do something with their excess inventory. consumers rejoice!

I've been through 1 Iphone and 3 androids (my touch, cliq, behold II) a cousin raved about this phone, I tried it. This is the BEST phone I've ever had, period. I have no affiliation with any company or ulterior motive in proclaiming this. My motive is that more people discover this exceptional phone that displays web pages flawlessly, works quickly, syncs with GOOGLE and Outlook, has wifi hotspot capablilities, takes great pictures and deserves to have more people exposed to the qualities of this device. My one gripe.... tiny keyboard for my fat fingers, but virtual keyboard downloads fix that problem..... Try one!!!
