After 2 consecutive M4800 models that were not working properly (hard drive issues, blue screen errors and constant system file corruption on new image) and literally months of wasting my time on the phone and in emails with DellPro Support, they are doing a system exchange to a Precision 7510. The processor changes from a i-7 4910 on the M800 to a i-7 6920 on the 7510 and is no longer replaceable or upgradable because it is soldered to the motherboard on the 7510. Dell would not agree to give me a Xeon processor on the new build. I will be using this system for video and photo editing and some Wacom tablet drawings (hand drawn illustrations and paintings, not CAD). The original M4800 system was a big investment for me and I went with Dell because I have owned and used Dell business grade systems in the past and they have been very reliable, but after the issues with the M4800, I am skeptical about Dell.

My question is - am I getting a fair exchange here and will the Precision 7510 be a reliable and efficient system for my business needs?

My original system configuration was:

Dell Precision M4800 CTO Base
Intel Core i7-4910MQ(Quad Core 2.90GHz, 3.90GHz Turbo, 8MB 47W, w/HD Graphics 4600)
16GB 1600MHz DDR3L (2x8GB)
NVIDIA Quadro K1100M w/2GB GDDR5
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Driver
1TB 7200 rpm SATA Hard Drive
Windows 7 Pro
8X DVD+/-RW Drive Slot Load
802.11ac/a/b/g/n 2x2 + Bluetooth 4.0 LE Half Mini Card

Smartcard Reader Base (Non FIPS)
Camera and microphone for HD+/FHD
Gobi 4G LTE Full Mini Card (Dell Wireless DW5808 for Verizon)

The system exchange configuration is:

Mobile Precision 7510 XCTO BASE
Intel Core i7-6920HQ
16GB (2x8G) 2133MHz DDR4 Memory Non ECC
NV Quadro M1000M w/2GB GDDR5
Intel Wireless 8260 with Bluetooth
1TB 7200 rpm SATA Hard Drive
Windows 7 Pro

Thanks for your input!
