It is easy to blame the president for policies that were in place for many decades, but in reality it is the American public that sits idly by letting poor policies exist. When businesses want change, they start petitions in order to create legislation to favor their cause. We have fake unemployment numbers to hide the destructive powers of the Global Economy that makes many jobs in America compete with the lowest paid workers in the world. Instead of Occupy Wall Street, creating positive petitions would have been better. Here are my favorite three petitions I would like to become law, and I added a controversial fourth petition to bring jobs back to America. Businesses do not like paying taxes and will mandate American goods to receive their full tax benefits, and we stop the deductions on foreign made products that don’t generate any tax revenue at all.
1. Make accurate unemployment and underemployment numbers a requirement in America. Have the U.S. Census add questions about the employment status of each individual in the household who is over 18 years of age to verify the numbers every decade.
2. Have all the products sold in America display the percent of American workers used to build the entire product from materials to assembly. Consumers have a right to know where their money is going before the sale.
3. All rating agencies and regulatory agencies cannot receive financial funding from the companies it rates or supervises to avoid conflicts of interest. The ratings must be completely truthful and any false reports by individuals/groups due to neglect and corruption must be criminally/financially prosecuted.
4. American businesses can only depreciate over five years the percentage of American made parts of products. If a product was 50% made in America then they get 50% of the cost of those goods depreciated in their taxes over five years.
