Problem Connecting LG Tv to Sony Receiver

I got a new LG Tv model 49UH610A. I am trying connecting it to Sony STR - DN850 receiver using HDMI ARC port on the TV. However selecting HDMI ARC on sound out on TV doesn't produces any sound. On the receiver, I could only see one option for TV. Any help?

ARC usually has to be turned on in the TV. Then you can select it as your source on the receiver.
If you can't get it to work then optical audio output on the TV is your other option.

I figured it out the solution. It is not just adding ARC cable between the TV & the receiver. Specifically to LG Smart TVs, there is a way to do it. IT has to be done using Device Connector feature in TV's setting. Here is more info about it:
