Hi!

I have just bought a used V5-122P. I've made a factory reset, and everything worked fine until I have changed the wallpaper to a darker one, then I noticed that if I keep a white window open for a minute in the same place, and then move it, I get a "ghost" image of that window, and it stays there for a couple of minutes. Is that normal for this model?

(the picture doesn't show it that well, in reality it looks a lot worse)

Do You think this is a software, or hardware issue?

Hi,

There are some forums sites that has some recommendation on how to remove that burn-in image on your LCD screen. Here are some that may help.

- First is to use a changing wallpapers.
- Next is to update your graphics card with its latest driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver.
- Check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed then observe it again.
- If all these will not work your last option would be to replace the screen itself.

I tested it some more, and its seems that this is a hardware issue, as the center of the screen is fine. The problem only occurs on screen borders (up to a couple of cm from the outer edge).

Hi, do you have the same picture on an external monitor?
