Design your own custom template in Excel.
Payroll applications are all very much the same - mostly identical data entry and calcuations. Usually the end user interface is what varies to some degree or another.
That is free and you can certainly customize your own spreadsheet as is necessary. Excel has quite a few functions that may make it all the easier now.
And you might consider using a database instead. Access would be a good start and there may even be a template out there already. Or use an open source database package. Most will now link to or import/export data from Excel or other data formats.
