Problem with laptop

If my laptop says no boot able device, will a new hdd fix the problem?
Please help

It could be that the BIOS isn't set up correctly.

You want your boot drive to be at the top of the boot order.

But there are just one options in my boot order. I don't understand you say there must be a few options and my boot drive should be on top?

Try reinstalling the Operating System.

What is the one option?

If your drive isn't being recognized at all....it could be the drive or it could be the MB, but I think most likely it's the drive.

I would try the drive in another machine.
