Problem with new headset.

I got a pair of turtle beach px 22 earforce headphones and am having issues with them. I can hear people talking fine, but every so often game sound cuts out, even movie volume as well. It happens on both my pc and ps4. Can anyone offer advice on this? I have the box and everything too if I will need to replace it.

All I have is the box and I think the receipt. Got it for christmas from a family member. Could I just go to the store they bought it from with the box and receipt and get a replacment?

I traded the headset in for a replacement pair, they to have the sound on my ps4 cut out every so often in different lengths. What could be causing this?
