Problems connecting LG sound bar with Samsung Smart TV

I have a Samsung UE40D6100SK TV and an LG NB2530A sound bar from which I get poor quality sound. The solution according to LG instructions is to change audio digital out from PCM to bitstream but that facility is not available on my TV menu. Any suggestions please ?

I don't think you would get any appreciable difference even if you could change the output.
If you have a set top box or disc player you can try connecting that directly to the soundbar to hear if that makes any improvement. You probably need a soundbar with a better sound and perhaps a subwoofer if you are finding the sound thin.
