product key for windows 8.1 pro

well i forgot my product key and unfortunately my disc is gone too.i cant really work with out it i desperately need it and my laptop is gateway.please help me asap

Contact who you bought it from. They might still have a record of it.

Is it currently installed? If so, why do you need the license key?

Did the laptop come with windows 8? If so the key is embedded in the bios.

Ring up who you got it from. It should also be on the bottom of your laptop if you bought it with win8.
