Projector to speakers

I’m using several projectors this year for Halloween. The sound from projectors are not sufficient.
I plugged a RCA to 3.5mm jack in.
I get sound from my new speakers but not very high.
Suggestions?

Confirm that the audio output from the projector is set as high as it can go.
If it's still not acceptable, then you will need to use an amplifier to non-amplified speakers.

Thanks for the quick response. I’m coming to the same conclusion.
Anyone suggest s small inexpensive amplifier?
