I've found a number of different Topics covering this issue in different ways. What I want is just to hear my game sounds in my headset. So I can listen to youtube videos and watch Netflix on my pc while I play. I have my PS4 Hooked to my right Asus VS23h-p and I want to use the 3.5mm speaker jack on the back to send sound to the blue audio input jack on my sound card. Would that work to add ps4 sound to my audio output device?

I fixed my issue. Here is what I did:

I obtained a Male/Male 3.5mm Audio Jack Cable. I plugged one into the audio out (speaker port) on my monitor. And one into the Audio In (blue port) on the back of my pc. Now doing this created a new output device called "line in" and this played my PS4 sounds perfectly. However I could not find a way to merge Line In and Headset playback devices.

With that in mind, I obtained a 3.5mm splitter. I plugged the splitter into the green port and plugged my headset into one of the splitter ends. I then plugged my male/male 3.5mm audio jack into my monitor and the other splitter. For all intents and purposes, the fact that this works some how makes no sense at all. This should not work, my pc audio should be funneling into my monitor speaker port but thats not at all whats happening.
