Just got a 43” TCL 43S405 and despite being advertised as HDR/UHD my PS4 Slim will not recognize it as HDR capable.
The owners manual says it’s compati with all HDR devices including next gen gaming systems. I even purchased a Ultra HD Premium HDMI cable by GE. Gold plated connectors, high speed data transfer, HDMI 2.0 etc. still nothing.
The PS4 was made in late 2016/Early 2017 and was as being run on an old 1080i/720p flatscreen prior to this tv. It’s updated to 5.50 which is well after the HDR patch was released making all PS4 models HDR capable, not just the pro.
