I pt5598hdix and the picture went out but the volume is still working. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Can you pull up the on-screen menus or the volume bar? If not, you may have an issue on the deflection board. It's Samsung-made, so chances are that a replacement board still exists - but it could be pricy. This is a repair that should only be attempted by a service tech (dangerous voltage).
